The Easter Egg Hunt has taken on a whole new meaning for all the movie buffs out there.

Directors like Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, and Alfred Hitchcock have created a trend in the industry of leaving little trails and tracks of encrypted messages, hiding significant images or objects, or nonchalantly dropping in cameos.

This has taken the movie experience to a whole new level with audience interaction, especially now that viewers know to look for them!

King Kong: Hidden Message in Morse Code

The remake of the 1933 classic King Kong was released in 2005, starring Jack Black and Naomi Watts. And although fans are used to Black’s more comical roles like in School of Rock and Shallow Hal, he surprised fans with his serious performance as Carl Denham.

During the intro scene where a warrant for Carl Denham’s arrest is received by the crew approaching Skull Island, director Peter Jackson decided to have a bit of fun with this one. When encoded, the Morse Code message actually reads “show me the monkey!”
